Interview: Jonny & The Black Frames

We've been fans of Jonny & the Black Frames for years. They've been super supportive of the zine as well. So it's kinda insane that we haven't done a proper interview with the boys. TODAY WE FIX THIS!! interview by Harmless GAD!: Who the hell are Jonny & the Black Frames and where do you come from? J&tBF : Jonny and Chad met in Vegas in ‘62 during a backroom poker game at the Sands. Dean Martin introduced us right before Chad dropped a full house on Sinatra and got us kicked out. The rest of the night was a blur of booze and showgirls. J was hired muscle for the mob in those days, but he made one too many enemies and somehow ended up in the back of our Cadillac as we all skipped town. We’re laying low in Huntsville, AL until the heat dies down… Jonny plays guitar and sings, Chad plays bass and sings, and J beats the hell out of the drums, in addition to giving zero fucks. Review: Mighty Menace - Mothman's First Victim

    The internet is ripe with media posts, which are usually plastered with a cute little robot drawn, assumedly drawn by one of their members. They have been playing shows all over Alabama. So with the current level of buzz, I decided to check out for myself if they are just a minor threat, or in fact, a mighty menace.     Their first release is titled, “MOTHMAN’S FIRST VICTIM”, and it is a live performance that shoots a blistering flurry of arrows into one’s ears. I am immediately reminded of the time I first discovered Bomb The Music Industry!, when I was supposed to be writing a paper on the history of photography in high school. This is definitely a band that I cannot wait to see live. The energy from the band and the crowd are massively present in the recording. I can almost smell the coffee, sweat, and salty tears when I hear it.     Their sound goes from heartfelt sung vocals over sweet bass lines and keys, to sing-along choruses, to dynamic screaming breakdowns tha
